Reviving Rain: A Glimpse of Hope for Our Pasture Poultry

Hello, dear readers! 🌧️🍃

We have fantastic news to share from our pastured poultry farm. After months of sweltering heat and dry spells, we’ve finally received our first inch of rain since June. It’s like a breath of fresh air for both our farm and our feathered friends. 🌦️🌱

The summer months have been relentless, with daily temperatures soaring above 100 degrees. Our pasture, like many across the region, has been parched and in need of rejuvenation. We’ve been eagerly awaiting this much-needed rain to nourish the soil and bring a vibrant green hue back to our pastures. 🌈

This rainfall comes at the perfect time as we prepare for our final batch of broilers for the 2023 growing season. The cooler temperatures and revitalized pastures will provide our poultry with the ideal environment for healthy growth and development. 🐔🌿

What to Expect:

  • The rain will trigger a lush regrowth of pasture grasses, providing our chickens with fresh forage.
  • Our broilers will thrive in this improved environment, resulting in even more flavorful and nutritious poultry for you.
  • We anticipate these birds to be ready for your table by mid-November, just in time for your holiday feasts.

Stay Tuned: 📅 For those of you following our journey, we’ll be sharing weekly updates on our blog as we raise this final batch of broilers. Keep an eye out for insights into our farming practices, tips for cooking our pasture-raised poultry, and more.
